Team Leadership
During his tenure at Hamden Plains United Methodist Church, Pastor Jeremiah Paul founded New Praize with a vision to develop young voices for music ministry and praise & worship appearances. Drawing upon an accomplished career that includes winning Season 2 of NBC’s The Voice and touring with Alicia Keys, Pastor J provided the ensemble with foundational vocal training, performance discipline, and artistic guidance.
Current Director Dunn Pearson brings New Praize a wealth of professional touring, recording, arranging, and performance experience. His distinguished career includes conductor touring with celebrated artists such as The O’Jays, Jocelyn Brown, Dennis Edwards and Melba Moore. Under his direction, New Praize continues to develop its vocal presentation, musicianship, stage presence, and worship ministry, thereby giving concert promoters confidence that the ensemble is thoroughly prepared, professionally directed, and ready to deliver an inspiring performance. Manager John Brantley guides their career and Randi Harrell serves as road manager.
