"GOD HAS A BLESSING
    FOUNDATION" 

This distinguished AWARD is issued to one student who has met academic and civic requirements and comes with a $1000 scholarship to honor the legacy of Alverna Jewell Strother. She was a trailblazer, visionary, successful businesswoman, devoted mom, and wife whose life reflected courage, faith, and determination that transcended all the odds, including the medical condition of heart disease.

 

The award is also an educational tool to promote heart disease awareness in association with the American Heart Association. 

 

Lastly, the spirit of this Award is the expressed manifestation of what  God Has A Blessing Foundation represents.

Requirements for Consideration:

 

3.5 GPA

 

Volunteers with a social or educational organization

 

Must submit a1-page entry letter for consideration that speaks to current issues facing society and offers a solution.
